Our conference will be gunning for us in our conference playoffs.” The next contest pits LAGCC against Hostos Community College in the final game in the CUNYAC. That game will take place today, Jan. 29, at “The Nest” in LAGCC at 6 p.m. If the Lady Red Hawks are victorious they will be guaranteed at least a tie for first place at the end of the CUNYAC season. With three games remaining on the schedule, the boys and coach Anastasia Bitis are looking forward to the upcoming challenge of the playoffs. “We will be a top-seed team and we will definitely have some home court advantage,” coach Bitis said. “We are working on fine tuning our offense and defense and we are streamlining our mind sets and refocusing for playoffs. Playing with split squads, the U13 team won the championship and the U14 lost in the semifinals on penalties. The U13 group is on their way to the USA National Futsal Championship in Florida.
