DEATH NOTICES +++ THERESA TORRES died on Tuesday, January 20, at the age of 81. She was the loving mother of Maryann Torres and the late Joseph Torres, mother-in-law of Theresa, cherished grandmother of Vincent, Edward, Joseph and Lauren, great-grandmother of Kelly, Ethan, Christopher, Yvonne, Collin, Sophie and William and dear sister of Marie Canella, Josephine Southerton and the late Rosalie and Sally. GRAY died on Sunday, January 18, at the age of 76. She was the beloved sister of William Fischer and cherished aunt of Nancy Zagajeski and great-aunt of William and Daina. A private cremation was held on Wednesday, January 21, at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village, with the interment of cremated remains on Wednesday, January 28, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth. +++ RONALD D. NEWSHAN died on Wednesday, January 14, at the age of 80. He was the beloved husband of Georgiana and devoted father of Sharon Dooley, Patricia and Ronald. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
