JOAN FUERST died on Friday, December
22, 2017, at the age of 82. She was the wife
of the late Joseph A. Fuerst, loving mother
of Donna and Andrew Czyz, Elizabeth and
Rudolph Fristachi and the late Joseph
Fuerst and Timothy Fuerst, cherished
grandmother of Andrew, Melinda,
Jennifer and April, great-grandmother
of Ryan, Matthew, Emma, Charlotte,
Addison, Daniel and Brayden and dear
sister-in-law of Madeline McDonald. She
is also survived by many loving nieces,
nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian
Burial was off ered on Friday, December
29, at Our Lady of Hope Church, Middle
Village, followed by interment at Long
Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale,
NY, under the direction of Papavero Funeral
Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.
In lieu of fl owers, memorial donations
may be made to the American Cancer Society,
cancer.org, or the American Heart
Association, heart.org.

GERTRUDE SULKOSKI died on Monday,
December 18, 2017, at the age of 89. She was
the wife of the late Henry J. Sulkoski, loving
mother of Geralyn Sulkoski, Glenn Sulkoski
and the late Gary Sulkoski, and dear sister
of Eugene Metzger and Carolyn Ostrowski.
She is also survived by many loving nieces,
nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian
Burial was off ered on Thursday, December
28, at Our Lady of Hope Church, Middle
Village, followed by interment at Calverton
National Cemetery, Calverton, NY, under
the direction of Papavero Funeral Home,
