Unknown gunman shot
and injured a man on
a Jamaica street
Cops are looking
for the perpetrator
who shot a
24-year-old man
on a Jamaica
street corner on
the night of Oct.
27.
According to
police, at 7:50 p.m
on Oct. 27, the
unidentifi ed suspect
approached
the victim at the
corner of Parsons
Boulevard and
Archer Avenue.
The assailant
pulled out a fi rearm
and shot the 24-year-old man once
in the shoulder. Police released a photo
of the suspect.
EMS responded to the scene and transported
the victim to a local hospital in stable
condition.

College Point, Flushing and
Whitestone
Dump truck strikes and injures
an NYPD academy cadet in
College Point hit-and-run
A female cadet at the NYPD Academy
in College Point was seriously injured on
the morning of Oct. 30 aft er being struck
by a dump truck at a nearby intersection,
authorities said.
Law enforcement sources said the
incident occurred at 6 a.m. at the corner
of Ulmer Street and 28th Avenue.
According to authorities, the cadet — a
35-year-old woman — was attempting
to cross at the intersection when she was
hit by the truck, which was turning onto
Ulmer Street southbound. Police said the
truck dragged the cadet between 200 and
300 feet before she was fi nally let go.
Th e rig was last seen heading southbound
on Ulmer Street. Offi cers from the
109th Precinct and EMS units responded
to the scene. Paramedics rushed the
cadet to NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens
hospital for treatment of a head injury,
but sources said that her injuries were not
considered life-threatening at this time.
No arrests have been made, and the
investigation is ongoing.
110th Precinct
Corona and Elmhurst
Men attacked victims
from behind, robbed
them in Elmhurst
Police are looking for a group of men
who assaulted and robbed three men on
the streets of Elmhurst.
According to police, at 3:20 a.m. on Oct.
14, a 45-year-old man was approached
from behind by two unidentifi ed men in
front of 42-27 Ithaca St. Aft er approaching
the man, the suspects grabbed the victim,
punched him and took his backpack,
which contained two cell phones and
$200. Following the attack, the suspects
fl ed on foot.
Th e were no injuries reported as a result
of this incident.
Later that same day at 11 p.m., a
30-year-old man was approached from
behind by four unidentifi ed men outside
of a residence on Alstyne Avenue
near Junction Boulevard. Aft er approaching
the victim from behind, the suspects
punched him in the head, back and face
and took an iPhone 7 and $40 from the
victim.
Th e suspects fl ed on foot in an unknown
direction. Th e victim refused any medical
treatment.
Th ree days later on Oct. 17, the three
suspects approached a 60-year-old man
in front of a home on Ketcham Street near
Elmhurst Avenue. Aft er approaching him
from behind, the three unidentifi ed males
put the victim in a headlock, punched
him in the face and took his Samsung
Galaxy 6 and $15. Th e crooks then fl ed
the scene in a black four-door sedan.
Th e victim was treated at the scene by
EMS for a bruising to the right side of his
face and a nose bleed. Police released surveillance
video of the suspects, fi rst showing
them at a grocery/bodega in the vicinity
of Broadway and Britton Avenue just
prior to the third incident.
Th e footage later shows the suspects in
the immediate vicinity of the third incident
immediately before it took place.

Man wanted for setting
car ablaze in Little Neck
Cops have
released the photo
of a man who they
believe torched an
SUV on a Little
Neck street last
month.
Benjamin Colon,
32, is wanted for
perpetrating the
crime, according
to posters that the
111th Precinct distributed throughout the
area.
On Oct. 21 at around 4:55 a.m., law
enforcement sources said, the suspect
allegedly lit a 2004 Jeep Wrangler on fi re
in the vicinity of 249th Street and 34th
Avenue. Police believe Colon fl ed the
scene in a black 2008 Ford model car.
Police offi cials could not confi rm whether
the suspect knew the owner of the vehicle.
Colon is described as a white or
Hispanic male, standing 5 foot 7 inches
tall, weighing 120 pounds with black hair
and brown eyes. Anyone with information

Astoria and Long Island City
Suspect stole thousands
of dollars’ worth of items
from Astoria apartments
Police are asking for the public’s help
in identifying a man who broke into two
Astoria apartments and stole thousands
of dollars’ worth of jewelry, electronics
and other items.
On Oct. 12, at about 8:30 a.m. the
suspect entered an apartment at 33rd
Avenue and 29th Street through a
closed, unlocked window. According to
police, he stole $900 worth of jewelry,
$600 worth of luxury handbags and an
Amazon Kindle before fl eeing the apartment.
On Oct. 17, the suspect entered an
apartment at 28th Avenue and 34th
Street at approximately 10:11 a.m.
through a closed, unlocked window. He
stole $1,000 worth of electronics before
leaving, police said.
Th e suspect is described as a white
male, approximately 175 pounds and 5
feet, 8 inches. He was last seen wearing
black boots, a black coat and a black hat.
