The featured speaker will be Dr. Mark Lachs, professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and director of Geriatrics for the New York- Presbyterian Health Care system. He will give an indepth presentation about his book, “Treat Me, Not My Age. A doctor’s Guide to Getting the Best Care as You or a Loved One Gets Older. ” A panel of experts will also speak about important issues that every senior should know about. With nearly 30 exhibitors, seniors will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with representatives. Attendees will be able to view and participate in a variety of demonstrations including the best exercise moves and how to prepare a healthy salad by Saladmaster. Saladmaster will send a chef — free of charge — to the home of anyone who visits their table to show them how to prepare a healthy dinner. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the North Shore Towers, 272-48 Grand Central Parkway, Floral Park, in Towers on the Green. Coffee and cake will be provided along with free health screenings, fi tness tips and many giveaways and prizes to be won.
