KNIGHTS The Flushing Red Devils improved their record to 5-2 with a 49-20 win over the John F. Kennedy Knights. The Red Devils won the offensive shootout with 489 offensive yards to the Knights’ 335 offensive yards. Red Devils’ senior Terrence Chavis was near perfect through the air going 11-14 with 271 yards and a game high four touchdowns. On the ground Chavis has a team high 65 yards on fi ve attempts. Seniors Besim Muminovic and Marcus Mendez each had a touchdown on the ground. For the Knights, senior Keron Hermitt had a game high of 106 yards on the ground on three attempts and three touchdowns. Senior D’Andre Sapp added a touchdown of his own, to go along with 65 yards on one attempt. Next up for the Red Devils will be the South Shore Vikings. COMMODORES VS. BEAVERS The Bayside Commodores beat the Jamaica Beavers by a score of 28-0. The Commodores blasted the Beavers on offense with 267 offensive yards to the Beavers’ 76. Senior Charles Flug completed eight of 17 passes, good for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Junior Marcus Watson added a touchdown on the ground. Senior Tyrell Plaza added a touchdown on the defensive side of the ball. Next up for the Commodores will be the James Madison Knights. SPARTANS VS. FALCONS The John Adams Spartans fell to 2-6 with a 20-6 loss at the hands of the William E. Grady Falcons (5-2). The Spartans struggled on offense with just 196 yards of offense. Junior Brumo Teran completed eight of 14 passes for 66 yards and an interception. Junior Antwon James threw for a touchdown. On the ground James had a team high 70 yards on one attempt. For the Falcons senior Alex Adams accounted for 162 of the Falcons’ 260 yards. Adams went 7-12 through the air, good for 154 yards and three touchdowns. Next up for the Spartans will be the McKee/Staten Island Tech Seagulls. BULL DOGS VS. RED RAIDERS The Campus Magnet Bull Dogs won their third game in a row to improve to 3-4 for the season. The Bull Dogs beat the Port Richmond Red Raiders by a score of 14-0. The Bull Dogs had a total of 261 offensive yards. Senior Roy Harvey had a game high 161 rushing yards on 22 attempts. Junior Bryan Mariner scored the game’s only offensive touchdown. Senior Kadeem Charles scored a defensive touchdown for the Bull Dogs. For the Red Raiders, junior Antonio Cotton completed 11 of 18 passes for 127 yards. Next up for the Bull Dogs will be the undefeated Erasmus Hall Dutchmen.
