From the moment guests disembark their plane, to the second they arrive at the hotel, and right up until they check out, the Sheraton family ensures that each person’s stay is comfortable and memorable. The hotel, which recently underwent a multimillion dollar renovation, boasts a brand-new dark wood lobby, sleek hallways, upgraded meeting spaces and a newly revamped fitness center. The guest rooms at the Sheraton JFK remain among the best in the area, featuring over 200-square- feet of space in each room, making them perfect for business travelers with an abundance of luggage or sports teams traveling with heavy equipment. “Our guest rooms have a Ralph Lauren-inspired look with French doors leading into the spacious bathrooms,” says Area Director of Sales Kathleen Pettit, who has over 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry. “We have rooms that feature two full beds as opposed to two twin beds to make for a more comfortable experience in a room occupied by multiple guests.” Pettit also notes the exciting improvements that the hotel’s fitness center has recently seen. Open 24 hours per day, the new fitness center is 1,100-squarefeet with brand new Life Fitness equipment, including treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical cross trainers, a multi-use trainer, free weights and adjustable benches. The gym’s Core Performance board is based on the training programs from the military and the Olympics. The Core Performance programming is a standard at Sheraton Hotels, which ensures that frequent travelers can have a consistent workout experience no matter what city they are in. The JFK Airport Hotel is no exception, says Pettit. But Sheraton JFK guests won’t have to wait until they check in to experience what sets the hotel apart from its competitors. Sheraton has set up a greeting station at Federal Circle in the JFK Airport. “We have someone there to welcome weary travelers to New York and show them where to go to catch our shuttle to the hotel,” explains Pettit. “This at-the-curb service is an example of the positive vibes we send our guests.” Once they’ve boarded the shuttle, each guest is offered a beverage of their choice and a snack that is appropriate for the given time of day. “This is something that no other hotel in Queens is doing,” notes Pettit. During the drive from the airport to the hotel, the shuttle drivers answer any questions that passengers may have and inform them of the night’s dinner specials at Rosemary’s Restaurant, conveniently located in the Sheraton JFK Airport Hotel. Once at the hotel, one of the Sheraton’s managers is waiting outside to welcome guests as they disembark the shuttle. To ensure the smoothest arrival possible, a bellman and a doorman are also present to assist with luggage and answer any of guests’ lingering questions. “Our lobby is very open and accessible so it’s easy for us to engage with every customer who walks through the door,” said Pettit. Any Starwood Preferred Guest members are checked in in advance and receive a welcome package upon arrival to reinforce their status as valued, loyal customers and to make them feel welcome. When it comes time to check-out at the end of a stay, Sheraton team leaders are available in the lobby at all hours of the day, even at night, to help guests catch their flights on time. Throughout the course of every guest’s stay, the Sheraton JFK offers a multitude of opportunities for dining, socializing and entertainment. A singer in the lobby entertains guests three nights per week. Rosemary’s Restaurant serves up traditional American fare and a full menu of beer, wine and
