Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz visited the seafood restaurant London Lennie’s on Friday, Aug. 22, as he made a guest maître d’ appearance. Queens Borough President Melinda Katz was the first guest of the evening to be seated by Markowitz. Now working for the city’s official tourism organization NYC & Company, Markowitz took on the role as part of his attempt to bring attention to the tourist merits of the five boroughs. The visit benefitted Katz, too, as she attempts to lure visitors to Queens, “The World’s Borough.” celebrate Vivaldi Ristorante, an Italian Mediterranean restaurant, celebrated its one-year anniversary on Aug. 21. The restaurant overlooks the Clearview Golf Course in Bayside, so patrons can watch the sport as they dine. The anniversary was celebrated with an open bar, live entertainment and dinner on the patio and in the main dining room.
