Noted elder law attorney Ronald Fatoullah will hold a seminar this Saturday, June 6, focusing on Medicaid. He will provide an overview of the program and explain how seniors can protect their assets in the event they require long-term health care. Fatoullah will also review legal documents such as the last will and testament, power of attorney, health care proxy, living will and living trust. The June 13 seminar will be led by Maria Alvarez, executive director of the New York Statewide Senior Action Council and Eric Hausman, an independent Medicare consultant. They will speak about benefi ciary issues such as changes in Medicare, Managed Care and Medicaid coverage and impacts on the scope, choice and delivery of benefi ts and services. The fi rst seminar on May 30 featured elder law attorney Ann- Margaret Carrozza and focused on asset protection trusts and estate tax planning. The Flushing House seminars will take place from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Flushing House dining room; admission is free and open to the public, and refreshments and free literature will be available.
