FRIDAY, APRIL 24 The Queens Writes Weekend is a weekend-long event that will be held at various locations around the borough where participants come to write for a few hours. Founded by the Newtown Literary Alliance, the goal is to have sites all over the borough at all times during the weekend. The event will kick off at The Astoria Bookshop on Friday, April 24, at 7 p.m. and will be hosted by Richard Jeffrey Newman. All events have a $5 suggested donation.
