14 THE QUEENS COURIER • APRIL 9, 2015 FOR BREAKING NEWS VISIT www.queenscourier.com Everything Kids Expo in LIC has something for children of all ages BY ANGELA MATUA [email protected]/@AngelaMatua Kids and families across Queens will visit the Long Island City YMCA on Saturday, April 25, for The Queens Courier’s third annual Everything Kids Expo, a day-long event featuring activities promoting Get * up to Bonus fun, active play. The event will give kids a chance to participate in classes and demos offered by the YMCA, such as karate demos, basketball drills and dance academy demos from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Y is located at 32-23 Queens Blvd. Children will also enjoy a live puppet show, healthy snacks and a performance by the Big Apple Circus. “It’s a wonderful, free family event where kids get to have fun and win great prizes while parents have access to many resources for their entire family under one roof,” said Amy Amato, president of events for Schneps Communications. Families will be able to speak to representatives about local and sleep-away YMCA summer camp opportunities while participating in arts and crafts and shopping at vendor booths. DJ Fussyman, a 10-year-old DJ from Staten Island, will provide live entertainment and raffl e prizes will be drawn at the end of expo. The event is co-sponsored by PM Pediatrics, United Healthcare, Puppetburgs, Busy Little Bees, Frankie’s Carnival Time, Big Apple Circus, Bitsy Brainfood and WellCare.
