THRU APRIL 15 Oil paintings and original sketches by Gennadyi Gurman will be on display at the Queens Botanical Garden, located at 43-50 Main Street in Flushing. Entitled “Repetition in Design,” the exhibit is an exploration of life inside repetitive shapes. Gurman is also the garden’s museum director and instructor of ecology and ethnobotany. THRU APRIL 20 Rachel Kohn’s solo exhibition “Harmonious Decay” will be shown at Crossing Art, located at 136-17 39th Avenue in Flushing. The show will be the fi rst solo exhibition for the Kohn, chronicling her new abstract series Landscapes, from 2011-13. Each of Kohn’s canvases encompass earthy tones, biomorphic shapes and varying textures juxtaposed against one another to fi ll the negative and positive spaces.
