Your kids are probably counting down the days until summer vacation, and who can blame them? Summer is a time for fun, but parents are also looking for ways to keep their children occupied during the day. Enrollment periods are starting up for lots of summer camps. Here’s a few camps around Queens that your kids are going to love! Camp Invention  – Grades K  through 6, over 50 locations in the NY-Metro area If you’re looking for a camp that will get your child’s creative juices fl owing, Camp Invention is for them! Kids at Camp Invention are engaged in fun, hands-on activities that encourage creative problem solving, teamwork, innovation and entrepreneurship. Your child will have fun while building up their confi dence at the same time! New York Stage of Mind Summer Camp – 37-34 29th St., Long Island City Children who have been bitten by the theater bug will love the New York Stage of Mind Summer Camp. Campers will learn acting, singing and dancing in different genres of music from teachers who are performers themselves. By the end of the camp, your child will show off their skills with other campers in an amazing recital. Oasis Day Camp  – Pre-K through ninth grade, Bayside No matter how old you child is, Oasis has something for everyone. Young campers will learn social skills and play games while older campers will take day trips and be able to explore their own individual interests. Th is camp will help children of all ages grow and learn together while boosting their confi dence. Swimming is a staple in both summer camp options, but there are plenty of activities to participate in through the camps. UTSA Summer Day Camp  – Ages 4 to 17, Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Flushing Meadows-Corona Park If your kids love tennis, they should give this camp a shot. Campers have the opportunity to improve their skills, make new friends and have fun. Multisports programs are a part of this camp, introducing campers to soccer, soft ball and more to help enhance your child’s athletic development.
