At a fundraiser recently were parade co-chair Douglas Montgomery, honoree Sebastian D’Agostino, commander of American Legion Post 103 in Douglaston, City Councilman Paul Vallone and parade co-chair Charly McBride. Anthony Labozzetta, president and chief executive offi - cer of Sussex Bank, announced the recent appointment of Domenick Loccisano to vice president/business development sales manager of their new branch in Astoria, which is scheduled to open in the fi rst quarter of 2015. Loccisano has over 14 years of banking experience and prior to joining Sussex Bank he was a branch manager with Astoria Bank in Astoria. Loccisano has an extensive background in the banking industry, including business development, sales, branch management and building community relationships. Loccisano received numerous awards for his accomplishments in his prior banking position including Top 9 Retail Branch Manager, Top 5 Branch Manager and Top Branch of the Month. He is also extremely involved in the local Astoria community, serving as a member of the Astoria/Long Island City Kiwanis, Queens Chamber of Commerce, 30th Ave. Business Association and Astoria Civic Association. Janet Elias, a teacher at P.S. 46 in Oakland Gardens, was honored recently at the Annual Awards Gala of the Eleanor Roosevelt Democratic Club of Queens and the Saul Weprin Democratic Club. Elias has been teaching for about 20 years.
