Having served in this capacity for nearly fi ve years, H Houser leads the marketing efforts for the $50 million, full-service fi nancial institution. With over 10 years of experience developing and managing strategic communication programs for leaders in the professional and fi nancial services industries, Houser previously managed the marketing and business development initiatives at BDO Consulting and Greystone & Co., Inc. Houser holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Boston University. As a proud resident of Astoria for over seven years, she is a member of the Greater Astoria Historical Society and has supported a range of organizations, including the ASPCA, United Way of New York City as well as her alma mater. She is an avid outdoorswoman and has traveled the world, most recently to Peru, where she hiked through the Andes Mountains for four days along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. ANTHONY BROWN Associate J.P. Morgan Asset Mgmt. U.S. Private Bank Anthony Brown is an associate and banker with J.P. Morgan’s Long Island Private Bank, serving as a relationship manager for high net worth individuals, families and foundations. Brown, originally from Queens, holds a business degree in fi nance from Florida A&M University. Brown’s corporate path began with Procter & Gamble in their corporate sales division. Brown was a top performing analyst in the Private Bank’s global analyst program. He successfully completed the three year program, and was promoted to banker immediately after. Brown led J.P. Morgan’s University Outreach business development strategy in the state of Florida, and currently plays a critical role in the fi rm’s Northeastern Diversity efforts. In March 2013, Brown donated his kidney to his mother, and now travels the country MARIA MESSADOS Assistant CFO Melrose Ballroom Maria Messados is only 22 years old and is currently working as Assistant CFO for Melrose Ballroom, a beautiful new state-of-the-art entertainment venue in Astoria. From construction hats to dancing shoes, she has watched this venue grow. Everyday she, along with the rest of the Melrose Ballroom team, is learning & intrigued with what something as simple as a dream can become. H
