Law enforcement agents said the robbery took place at about 1:13 a.m. on Nov. 22 inside a home on Ash Avenue near Magnolia Place. Th e day before the robbery, according to sources familiar with the investigation, the 23-year-old male victim had borrowed $15,000 in cash from a friend for reasons not yet known to police. Th e friend then arranged for an unidentifi ed individual to meet with the victim at the Ash Avenue location. But once inside the residence on Nov. 22, police said, the unidentifi ed individual and a second suspect went on the attack, punching the victim about the body and striking him with a crowbar. Th ey then took the bag containing the $15,000 in borrowed cash, then fl ed the location. One of the two assailants was apprehended at the scene by 109th Precinct offi cers; his identity was not disclosed, as the case is sealed pending an investigation. Th e suspect who remains at large is described as an Asian male, 20 to 30 years old, 5 foot 8 inches. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black jeans, black sneakers and a black baseball cap with a light colored patch. All calls and messages are kept confi dential. 110th Precinct Corona & Elmhurst Chemical-spraying crooks rob two stores Police are on the hunt for a band of bandits who sprayed an unknown substance at their victims as they robbed them during two robberies that took place 15 minutes apart in Elmhurst earlier this month. At 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, six males entered a store located at 40-04 Warren St. and attempted to distract a 28-year-old employee by asking him questions. When the employee pulled a cellphone out of a display case, authorities said, one of the suspects sprayed the employee with an unknown substance and grabbed the phone. All six individuals fl ed in an unknown direction. Th e victim was treated and released from Elmhurst Hospital following the robbery. Th en, at 6:50 p.m., the perpetrators entered a store located at 90-22 Roosevelt Ave. and removed electronics from a display case valuing approximately $3,000, according to police. When the individuals were confronted by a 53-year-old employee, law enforcement sources said, one of the individuals sprayed him with an unknown substance before they all fl ed westbound on Roosevelt Avenue. Th e victim was not hospitalized as a result of the incident. Both robberies were reported to the 110th Precinct. Th e suspects are described as black males between the ages of 16 and 20 years old. All calls and messages are kept confi dential. 114th Precinct Astoria & Long Island City Thieves target same Astoria apt. building Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a trio of burglars who hit the same apartment building in Astoria two days in a row. On Tuesday, Jan. 10, at around 3:53 p.m., authorities said, two unknown males and an unknown female entered the lobby of an apartment building on 30th Street. Th e suspects proceeded to take several packages from the lobby of the building. Th e following day, at 2:12 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, the two male suspects returned to the same apartment building and entered through the basement laundry room. Law enforcement sources said that they proceeded to pry open the cash machine and took an unknown amount of cash. Th e duo then fl ed the scene in a silver Nissan Pathfi nder. Th e individuals have been described as two light-skinned males and a lightskinned female.
