Diaz saw a knapsack stuffed with spray paint cans next to Martinez, 19, of Brooklyn. He tried to close the bag as the offi cers approached, according to police. Diaz then saw Cautin, 21, of Richmond Hill, wearing one green latex glove, with a spray paint can sticking out of his jacket pocket. Later, cops determined the fresh graffi ti belonged to the two. Cautin acted as a lookout, while Martinez tagged “FEAL” on the subway car, 10 feet wide and over three feet high. They were both arrested and charged with criminal mischief, making graffi ti, 15 counts of possession of a graffi ti instrument and criminal trespassing. 105TH PRECINCT Queens Village, Cambria Heights, Laurelton, Rosedale, Springfi eld Gardens, Bellerose, Glen Oaks, New Hyde Park and Floral Park 30-year-old shot to death A man was found fatally shot in Queens Village on Wednesday, January 8, cops said. Offi cers discovered 30-year-old Earl Jackson inside of 212-20 Jamaica Avenue about 10:50 pm., with gunshot wounds to the back of the head and the torso, according to the NYPD. He was pronounced dead at the scene, cops said. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing, police said. Retired correction offi cer fatally shot A 50-year-old retired correction offi cer is dead after he was shot in Queens Village following a domestic dispute with two other correction offi cers, according to published reports and police. The shooting occurred at 108th Avenue near 227th Street, the NYPD said. The victim, identifi ed by police as Jeffrey Ragland, of Jamaica, was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest and pronounced dead, police said. According to published reports, the victim was a retired corrections offi cer and was killed following an argument with two people who currently work as offi cers for the Department of Correction. Sources told the New York Post the dispute involved a “love triangle” between Ragland, his estranged girlfriend and her new boyfriend. According to the New York Daily News, the boyfriend told police that he shot Ragland in self defense, only after Ragland pulled a gun on him. As of Monday, January 13, police said no charges had been brought in the homicide, but the investigation is still ongoing. 106TH PRECINCT Howard Beach, Ozone Park and South Ozone Park Police seek pair in armed Ozone Park deli robbery Two suspects held up an Ozone Park deli with a shotgun last month, taking off with $100, police said. The robbery occurred about 9:15 p.m. on December 21 at the American Deli Grocery on 135th Avenue at 127th Street, according to the NYPD. The suspects entered the store, displayed the weapon and demanded money, police said. They then removed the cash from the register and fl ed in a white late model Buick. Cops describe the fi rst suspect as a black male in his 30s, about 5’ 7” tall and 170 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, black jeans and his face was covered with a black mask. The second suspect is a black male, 20 to 30 years old, about 5’ 10” tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded jacket, blue jeans and a black hat. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS. 108TH PRECINCT LIC, Sunnyside and Woodside Cops: Armed robbery suspects tie up Sunnyside cell phone store workers Two suspects tied up the employees of a Sunnyside cell phone store during an armed robbery last month, before taking off with cash and electronics, police said. The incident occurred about 9 p.m. on December 19 at a T-Mobile store on Queens Boulevard near 46th Street, according to the NYPD. The two male suspects entered the business after it was closed, displayed guns and ordered employees to the rear of the store where they were zip-tied, police said. They then removed cash and electronics, and fl ed the store. No injuries were reported, the NYPD said. On Thursday, January 9, the male and female suspects entered the H.Y. Jewelry store located at 150-29 Northern Boulevard and removed jewelry without permission or authority. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS. 114TH PRECINCT Astoria, Long Island City, Woodside, and Jackson Heights Cops: Suspect steals cash from Steinway Street restaurant Police are searching for a man who allegedly took cash from an Astoria restaurant after closing, the NYPD said. Using the main entrance, the suspect entered the Riko Peruvian Cuisine Restaurant, on Steinway Street near 36th Avenue, about 5 a.m. on December 5 and stole $100 from the register, police said.
