20 North Shore Towers Courier n September 2014 Lambing Season Reza Hassani Goes to the Mall 2nd Annual Short Film Festival at North Shore Towers by Marilyn Chris Wow! It’s that time of year again. The second annual Short Film Festival at North Shore Towers is taking place this year on Tuesday, September 16th and Thursday October 9th here at North Shore Towers. The committee consisting of Fred Chernow (member of Board), Lee Wallace, Marilyn Eagle, Dr. Robert Eagle and I have been working to choose five films for each evening for your consideration and enjoyment. We think we’ve found some really interesting films to show you. On Tuesday, September 16 we will show: “Reza Hassani goes to the Mall” by Sara Zadieh; “Lambing Season” by Jeannie Donohoe, “Siren” by Jonah Bleicher, “The Louder the Better” by Michael Toscana and “Achille” by Giorgia Farina. On Thursday, October 9th we plan to show : “Hirosaki Players” by Jeffrey Sousa, a bonus very short short to be announced, “Saab Story” by Max Joseph, “Three Light Bulbs” by Min Ding and “Recorder Exam” by Bora Kim. Our mission is to provide members of North Shore Towers Country Club with new and exciting, not widely seen before, short films in the hope that they will discover new, talented film makers and be exposed to new, interesting, diverse (possibly fun!) short films in a controlled venue. As you may be aware, from last year, we offer a very diverse group of films and, depending on which ones you like the most, you will vote to award the Audience Appreciation Award. The films are very different in length and style. Unlike sitting and watching a full length film, this is the opportunity to watch five films – varying in length from 5 to 25 minutes – all in one evening, at one sitting. It is a tasty smorgasbord of film! Keep your eyes open for information about exact time and place. “See you at the movies!
