Wednesday, May 8, 2013 92 St. Y Program This month’s selection is Jon Meacham – “Jefferson, The Art of Power” 7:30 pm – VIP Room Jon Meacham is a Pulitzer Prizewinning bestselling author and a commentator on history, politics and religion in America. He is an executive editor at Random House, where he also runs The Conversation Online, a site devoted to current affairs and relevant books. Meacham is the editor-at-large for WNET Public Media, New York’s PBS station and is the former co-anchor of Need to Know. He is also the former editor of Newsweek, where he started as a writer in 1995 and was appointed editor in 2006. His next book, Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power, will be published in November 2013. Saturday, May 25th, 2013 7 – 11 PM – VIP Room The only official chartered USO show troupe, the USO Liberty Bells travel throughout the world performing here and abroad. The USO Liberty Bells are part of this American tradition that began with the muddy camp shows of the South Pacific 71 years ago. The troupe is comprised of Broadway and off-Broadway professionals who are chosen each year after an extensive audition process in Manhattan. This year’s performers hail from Broadway shows such as “Spiderman: Turn off the Dark,” “Les Miserables,” “Hairspray,” “The Color Purple” and “Cirque du Soleil.” WATCH FOR FURTHER DETAILS!
