BILLY THE KID Long Island’s most famous musician will put fans in a “New York State of

Mind” for New Year’s Eve when the Hicksville native takes center stage at the
region’s largest arena.
Billy Joel will make a rare local appearance at NYCB Live, Home of the Nassau
Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in between his monthly Madison Square Garden
residency, allowing fans of The Piano Man to ring in 2019 with classics such
as “Movin’ Out,” “The Stranger,” and “We Didn’t Start The Fire.”
And if it’s anything like his concert at the coliseum, when he opened the
Uniondale arena last year after its renovation, don’t be surprised if there
is a celebrity cameo or two. Joan Jett, Kevin James and Leah Remini made
appearances during that concert.
NYCB Live Home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, 1255 Hempstead
Turnpike, Uniondale nycblive.com $121-$504. 9:30 p.m. Dec. 31.
