HEALTH
PIONEERING BREAST-LIFT TECHNIQUE
Dr. Kaveh Alizadeh, Chief of Plastic
and Reconstructive Surgery at
Westchester Medical Center and
Associate Professor of Surgery
at New York Medical College, was
interviewed recently by Social Life
magazine about his ground-breaking,
trademarked technique,
NaturaBra and NaturaGlow, using
fat transfer and the body's own
tissue to enhance and support the
breasts. The full interview will be
published in the July issue of the
magazine.
Dr. Alizadeh said in the interview
that breast augmentation surgery
has increased dramatically. Quoting
the American Society of Plastic
Surgeons, he said that in 2018 alone,
there were over 300,000 breast augmentations
and 109,000 breast-lift
procedures, a growth of over 108
percent in the number performed
in 2000.
He said NaturaBra would be very
helpful to women.
"Many women experience breast sagging
due to aging, weight loss, breast
feeding, heredity and other causes,"
he said in the interview. "This procedure
can eliminate excess skin
and tighten the surrounding tissue,
giving the breasts a more youthful,
perky appearance while using the
strength of your own tissue to act as
an internal bra."
Dr. Alizadeh said his technique is
pioneering in the field.
"Traditional methods simply lift
everything up and suture the skin,"
he said. "The skin is really held
responsible for holding things over
time, like the pressure of skin during
pregnancy which leads to stretching
- there's no integrity to the skin of the
breast and it will eventually fall.”
"With NaturaBra, we use your own
tissue and create a second layer of
support, which becomes an 'internal
bra' to support the breasts, particularly
when implants are involved.
We have also combined this procedure
with your own fat to avoid
the use of implants altogether," Dr.
Alizadeh said.
Dr. Alizadeh said with his procedure
"you don't need to worry about any
of the potential complications from
silicon implants, such as leaking or
scarring. Now there is a real and
viable option that feels and looks natural,
and women no longer have to be
concerned about having something
foreign in their body."
The NaturaBra breast-lift is performed
as an outpatient procedure
and takes approximately two and a
half hours to complete. After surgery,
most patients are able to return
to work within a week.
