sunnyside shines MORE THAN JUST FOOD! Sunnyside Restaurant Week kicked off on Oct. 20 with a fantastic art opening and art walk, starting at Salt and Fat and heading to each of the five restaurants with visual art installations, curated by No Longer Empty. The art installations, part of a curated series called “From Nuisance to New Stance” featured the work of five individual artists, three of them local “Sunnysiders,” who explored themes of food and neighborhood history in their works. The opening night tour ended at Dazies Restaurant, where attendees were treated to a film screening of food-related films, and delicious hors d’oeuvres provided by Lily Gavin, owner of Dazies Restaurant. 1 2 3 4 7 5 6 8 1.
