“Tut’s Fever Movie Palace”
On view permanently
Red Grooms and Lysiane Luong created this working
movie theater with inspiration from the tomb paintings
they saw during their time spent in Egypt. Movie stars
from Theda Bara to Mickey Rooney are depicted on
the walls in Egyptian-style, with James Dean even
finding his way into a sarcophagus that guests can
open. Movies are played every weekday at 1 p.m. and
on weekends at 1, 2, and 3:30 p.m. in the theater.

“Noguchi: Body-Space Devices”
On view through May 3, 2020
This exhibit features work from sculptor,
choreographer, and dancer Brendan Fernandes.
The pieces on display reflect Isamu Noguchi’s use
of “body” in his work across different mediums and
disciplines. Among the art displayed, there are literal
depictions of the uses of the body, interpretations
of the body as constructor, and “biomorphic
abstractions.” Works created by Noguchi himself are
also on display.

“In Practice: Other Objects”
On view through March 25, 2020
“In Practice: Other Objects” explores the connection
between material objects and personhood. Works
from twelve different artists explore the ways material
things can stand in as symbols for sexism, racism,
and language about age. This display highlights how
the human body is fluid and temporary, just like the
material objects it encounters.
