■LIC PARTNERSHIP LIC Partnership Annual Real Estate Breakfast Hundreds of real estate industry professionals gathered at the Con Edison Learning Center on April 22 for the LIC Partnership’s sold-out Annual Real Estate Breakfast. Panelists Matthew Baron, President of Simon Baron Development, Jon Caplan, Vice Chairman of the New York Capital Markets Group at Jones Lang LaSalle, David Dishy, President of Development and Acquitsition at L+M Development Partners, and Seble Tareke Williams, Managing Director of the NYC Interborough Fund at Emmes Asset Management Company, shared insights on current area projects and the overall market. The panel was moderated by David Brause of Brause Realty and chair of the LIC BID. LICP released a 2015 Real Estate Market Snapshot in conjunction with the event, including data from Modern Spaces, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, JRT and Cushman & Wakefield. “The days of Long Island City as only a value play are over,” said David Dishy. “It’s now a desire play.
