A FROZEN CENTRAL PARK
This was one of those crazy evenings when I decided to go to Central Park.
I always wanted to take shots when it was particularly cold. I basically had
the park to myself. It was 15 degrees without the wind blowing, and as my
fingertips turned blue and numb (you can’t wear gloves when clicking the
camera) I said to myself, “what am I doing here?” But in the two hours
that I spent in this tundra, I was rewarded with some great images.
With the silhouette of the warmly lit buildings giving the park a
rather festive glow, it created a quintessential NY winter moment.
I always say that making good photography is not necessarily easy,
but I think the results here make this small sacrifice worth it.
