BY JILL DAVIS
Hanukkah started early this year and
winds up on December 6. Christmas falls on
a Saturday this year, which means most people
will get the whole day off on Christmas
Eve. Yay! New Year’s Eve falls on a Friday,
which will provide heavy-duty partygoers
two whole days to recover before they head
back to work the next week.
We all know how horrible 2020 was and
we wished it good riddance. But 2021 hasn’t
been a day at the beach either, so here are a
few quotes to make you smile and look forward
to ’22.
“An optimist stays up until midnight to see
the New Year in. A pessimist stays up to make
sure the old year leaves.” — Bill Vaughn
“May the New Year bring you courage to
break your resolutions early! My own plan is
to swear off every kind of virtue, so that I triumph
even when I fall.” — Aleister Crowley
“This New Year’s I was going to make a
resolution never to be late again, but I didn’t
wake up until January 2nd.” — Melanie
White
“The bad news is time flies. The good news
is you’re the pilot.” — Micheal Altshuler
“I would quit all my bad habits for the New
Year, but then I remembered that nobody
likes a quitter.” — Unknown

You can drop off your donation every
day except December 25 between 10 am
and 5 pm.
Meanwhile, the
Farm is transformed
in its Winter
Lantern Festival,

Farm between 4:30
pm and 9:30 pm to
enjoy an immersive
display of holiday
lights and lanterns. New this year is the
“Wish Lantern,” where you can choose
your own lantern, decorate it at the Farm
and then take it home as a keepsake.
