As you are aware, the Annual Meeting has been
scheduled for Monday, October 28, 2019 at
7:30PM. The meeting will take place at PS209Q
which is located at 16-10 Utopia Parkway,
Whitestone. You may also cast your votes prior to
the commencement of the meeting on:
• Tuesday, October 22nd 5:00PM – 8:00PM
• Sunday, October 27th 10:00AM – 2:00PM
• Monday, October 28th 5:00PM – 6:00PM
• Monday, October 28th (PS209Q) 7:30PM – 8:30PM
I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for each and
every shareholder living at Le Havre to cast their ballot/proxy
and be part of this very important decision-making process.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

As we approach the Board elections, I hope you
find this edition of the Le Havre Courier informative
so that you can make an intelligent decision
in the upcoming electoral process.
This is the time of year where you have an
opportunity, as shareholders, to elect your Board
of Directors. These are the people who will be in
charge of running Le Havre Owners Corp. for the
upcoming year which ultimately affects your quality of life
and your investment. It is incumbent upon you to exercise
your right as a shareholder in this all-important decision.
Each and every shareholder will have the opportunity to cast
their ballot in a fair and equitable way. You will be receiving
in the mail an election package from The Voting Group
explaining the voting procedures and the times/dates of when
you can cast your votes.

Important Reminders
Emergency Access:
If you are going on vacation or leaving your
apartment for an extended period of time, please
have a neighbor or friend check on your apartment.
If the Maintenance Department is not in possession
of keys to your apartment, please make sure
to leave a spare set of keys with a family member, friend or
neighbor that can give access in an emergency situation. It
is important that you call and leave your emergency contact
information with the Maintenance Department (718) 767-
6200 or the Management Office (718) 767-7400.
Phone Messaging Service:
If you have not already signed up for telephone notifications,
you may miss out on important emergency notifications.
Please contact the Management Office if you have not
already done so.
Bicycle Registrations:
All bicycles stored in the bicycle rack under your building
must have a registration sticker displayed. Contact
Management at (718) 767-7400 for info.
Vehicle Stickers:
Vehicles parked in the Le Havre parking lots should have
a Le Havre sticker displayed. This is for your protection.
Contact Management for info.
Renovations:
Completed Alteration Agreements, with appropriate
licenses and insurance certificates, must
be submitted to the Management Office and
approved prior to any work being commenced.
The Alteration Agreement has been updated
recently, so make sure you have the updated
version.
Apartment Insurance:
Please make sure that you have a current copy of your
apartment insurance on file with the Management Office at
all times, to stay in compliance with the rules.
Thinking of Refinancing?
If you are planning on refinancing or taking a home equity
loan, it is important that you contact the Management Office
at (718) 767-7400 for a Refinancing Application. You must
meet the Corporation’s requirements and get approval on all
home equity loans and mortgage refinancing. Do not hold up
your closing, or lose your bank commitment, because you
did not complete your paperwork.
STAR Exemption:
All new shareholders should apply for the STAR Exemption
if this is their primary residence. The STAR and Enhanced
STAR applications are available on the State website www.
ny.gov or by speaking with a representative at (518) 457-
2036. Don’t miss out on this tax relief program simply
because you did not register.

Annual
Le Havre
Art
Show!
Summer might be over,
but the Le Havre Art League
members are burning with
creative projects for the
upcoming Art Show on
Sunday, November 17.
The event gathers a group
of artists from various disciplines
including photography,
drawing, jewelry design,
mixed media and macramé,
among others. This show
aims to recognize the abundant
diversity of artists in our
community, and it is open to
anyone who is interested in
exhibiting their work.
The event will also be a
great opportunity to meet
the local artists who are your
neighbors, enjoy a glass
of wine and be entertained
by local musicians (to be
announced soon).
