The Voting Group (Election Administrators) will be handling the actual election process, as in prior years. Each shareholder should receive an informational package by early October giving information on voting dates / times and instructions on how to cast their vote. If the informational mailing is not received by mid October, please contact the Management Office at (718) 767- 7400 to advise us of same and we will make The Voting Group aware of the situation. There are thirteen (13) candidates running for nine (9) seats on the Board of Directors for the 2015 / 2016 year. You will have an opportunity to meet and speak with the candidates on Wednesday, October 7th in the clubhouse from 8:00 – 9:00PM. Voting will take place in the clubhouse on Sunday, October 18th from 10:00 – 2:00PM, Tuesday, October 20th from 5:00 – 8:00PM and on Thursday, October 22 from 5:00 – 6:00PM in the clubhouse. You may also cast your votes at the meeting on Thursday night at PS 193. If a shareholder is physically unable to come to the clubhouse during the voting sessions, arrangements can be made to have a representative of The Voting Group bring the ballot to their apartment for completion. The Voting Group should be contacted once the informational mailing has been received. If a shareholder knows in advance that they will be away during the voting time period, arrangements can be made with The Voting Group to send the voting documents to an alternative address. This must be arranged right after you receive the informational mailing. We will look forward to a good turnout and participation at both of the above events. FINANCIAL: For the two months ending August 31, 2015, the (budgeted versus actual) showed revenues $2,701,529 (156%) of the budgeted amount of $16,310,670 and total expenses $2,381,156 (130%) of the budgeted amount of $15,561,12 ANNUAL MEETING / BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTIONS: I would also like to advise you that the Annual Meeting of the corporation will take place at PS193 in Whitestone at 7:00PM on Thursday, October 22nd. As in the past, I urge you to try to attend the meeting or at least try to cast your vote for the candidates. In addition to voting at the school, we will be having three additional dates for voting at the clubhouse and they are as follows: Sunday, October 18th from 10–2PM Tuesday, October 20th from 5–8PM Thursday, October 22nd from 5–6PM A “Meet the Candidates” night has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 7th in the clubhouse from 8:00 – 9:00PM. Please watch out for information on the election process from The Voting Group. This is your co-op so please take the opportunity to cast your vote. CEMENT WORK: We are very pleased with the way the cement replacement program is progressing. B#21 and B#22 have been completed and, by the time this article gets published, B#4 will also be well underway. Once again thank you as always for your continued support.
