OUT & ABOUT
BY JILL DAVIS
New York is speeding up its reopening plans along with
neighboring New Jersey and Connecticut. Notably for
those of us in NYC, indoor dining, hair salons and other
personal care service businesses expanded to 75% capacity
on May 7 and gyms and fitness centers will expand to 50%
on May 15.
More expansion will occur on May 19, when restaurants,
museums, theaters and retail outlets will be allowed to
reopen at full capacity. However,in practical terms, this
may be hampered by ongoing social distancing rules.
The outdoor food and beverage curfew will be lifted on
May 17, as will 24-hour MTA service. Broadway will also
be allowed to reopen fully, but theaters are not expected to
be back in business before September. source: New York
