The Dining Diva:
Riviera Ristorante
BY HELENE OELERICH
Riviera Ristorante in
Whitestone has been at the
same location since the 1960s.
This local classic specializes in
delicious authentic Italian food
from both the northern and
southern regions. Riviera has a
nice atmosphere for dining and
partying or for couples, families,
and friends to get together
for a relaxing dinner. Manager
Danny and our server, George,
were extremely helpful!
The menu is large—and
so are the dishes! They serve
many different kinds of pastas,
appetizers, salads and soups
as well as chicken, veal and
fish entrees and specialties of
the day. All main courses are
served with vegetables and
roasted potatoes (so good!).
There is also a tempting dessert
menu.
I enjoyed the Capellini di
Mare, which is angel hair pasta
served with shrimp, clams, calamari
and mussels in a red
sauce. Phil loved the Pollo
Scarpatiello: pieces of chicken
on the bone with garlic, balsamic
vinegar, olive oil, roasted
Mozzarella with tomato
and basil
peppers and fresh herbs. Our
appetizer of baked clams was
yummy too!
Riviera Ristorante is located
at 17-12 Utopia Parkway. It’s
open Tuesday through Sunday
Terrific baked clams
(closed Mondays). Lunch is
served Tuesday through Friday,
12pm-3pm, and there’s an early
bird menu offered Tuesday
through Thursday, 4pm-6pm.
Street parking is available (read
the signs!). Telephone 767-352-
2235 or visit rivieraristorante.
com for more information.
Enjoy! Yummy dessert

IMPORTANT REMINDER:
CURB
YOUR DOG
IT’S THE LAW!
It is the responsibility of all Dog Owners
and Dog Walkers to remove the dog waste
where it sits. Walking around our grounds
I have come across dog waste left behind
on our side-walk grass and pavement. I
almost stepped in the dog waste on the
sidewalk Saturday 4/21/18. Taking a leisurely
walk around our area I found dog
waste in many spots on our grounds that
was neglected along the sidewalk grass; I
had seen enough to write this article and
took pictures too!
Be AWARE of where your dog sniffs as
dog waste is dangerous to dogs; dog waste
is not a fertilizer it poisons lawns, carries
Hookworms, Ringworm, Tapeworm,
Parvo and more. Some diseases from dog
waste can transmit to humans too. If not
cleaned up the waste travels with the bacteria
into our STORMWATER.
If you happen to step in dog waste
use antibacterial wipes on your shoes to
remove; always check your dog’s paws
too!.
Please do not think that Le Havre dog
owners always pick up–as I have seen
ones that live here that do not but unfortunately,
I have not been close enough to
confront them.
DOGS are fabulous pets; they become
part of the family, can do many tricks
if taught. ONE THING THAT IS
IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO DO IS
CLEAN UP!
Thank you for reading–A Concerned
Shareholder.
