4 C R Y D E R P O I N T AUGUST Message from the Board President Most of you have probably seen the progress being made on the promenade area by the dock. The concrete pour to connect the path along the front of the 41 Building to the new space is the last piece o f the puzzle, and the fi nishing touches such as fabrication of the railings and ordering of the benches are in the works. As of this writing, the matting in the playground is being installed, so we expect that to reopen very soon. You’ve probably heard the daily noise from the wall being cut along the promenade area. Why are we cutting the wall? We had the opportunity, at no additional cost, to have the wall lowered so that we could maximize the view from the promenade area. Railings will be installed to bring the total height up to code requirements. At the pool, it was discovered that the raised platform at the north side is a bit too high which is why the area has been taped off. To remedy the problem, an extra step will be installed as well as a railing across the front. This will be done after the pool closes for the season. Speaking of the pool, kudos go to the Quality of Life Committee for putting on a terrifi c party on July 23. You’ll fi nd a recap and photos inside, so if you didn’t attend you can live vicariously! Also, the Committee is planning a children’s party for September 1; see the fl yer inside for more info. Till next time.
