At this time of my life, I find myself with the time necessary to devote to this job. We’ve enjoyed living here for the last 20 years and I’d like to use my talents and knowledge to continue making Cryder Point a wonderful place to live. I have been on the Board since 2012 and I’d like to continue and see the work we started finished. My knowledge of our ongoing projects is helpful in realizing a successful conclusion. Please list any interests, talent, education or experience you possess that you feel would serve as an asset to the Cryder Point Owners’ Corp. Board of Directors. I spent 35 years with the Fire Department and am very familiar with the different government agencies that this co-op must deal with. As Chief Fire Marshal I supervised over 400 employees and was responsible for security for the entire Fire Department. Due to my leadership qualities, I was always able to bring people together to accomplish goals. I am familiar with investigations and all aspects of law enforcement. I also had to hire private contractors through the bidding process for construction, security, computer programming and services. And I also designed the FDNY ID smart card. What changes would you like to see made at Cryder Point, and why? Since I’ve been on the board we have taken on several million dollars in projects. I have served on the Board for a few years. My priorities continue to be: openness and communication to shareholders, fiscal responsibility and limiting maintenance increases, prudent long term planning, and enhancing the quality of life at Cryder Point. Please list any interests, talent, education or experience you possess that you feel would serve as an asset to the Cryder Point Owners’ Corp. Board of Directors. I have a BS in quantitative business analysis and regularly work in developing business related IT systems from accounting to operations management. I also ran a small manufacturing company for 15 years where I dealt with mechanical and electrical engineering challenges. What changes would you like to see made at Cryder Point, and why? Now that several major capital projects are coming to an end we can turn our attention to other issues such as establishing a physical fitness facility, more effective use of the community room, a separate and more efficient hot water system possibly including solar electricity, using technology to better balance and distribute steam heat, and improving the process for addressing and resolving noise and other complaints NAME: JASON KOBER BUILDING / APARTMENT #: 21-6H OCCUPATION: Accountant Does your occupation require extensive travel? I have been a member of the board since 2014. I have enjoyed working with the Board on current projects. I would like to continue working with them as I feel we have a great group of people that work well together. As a group we have worked towards improving the quality of life in the community as well as improving the property. I have owned and managed rental properties for over 10 years. I am interested in energy conservation. I am also in the process of becoming a CPA. What changes would you like to see made at Cryder Point, and why? I believe the Board has done a great job with improvement. I believe we can still make improvements with energy conservation to reduce our costs. I would also like to add a fitness center. I have been on the board since 2010 and have focused on the financial aspects of operations. Even though big projects are finally behind us there are still financial matters to address. Please list any interests, talent, education or experience you possess that you feel would serve as an asset to the Cryder Point Owners’ Corp. Board of Directors. I have been a tax preparer for sixteen years and a Certified Financial Planner for more than twenty-nine years. I have a head for numbers and analysis which is where my strengths lie as a Board Member. What changes would you like to see made at Cryder Point, and why? I would push to see reserve fund replenishment be a standard practice for all boards. There are still some small, by terrace project standards, jobs we must address, which will be paid for by the reserve fund. To maintain our standing as a healthy co-op we must replenish the reserve fund every time it gets drawn down. I would like to continue an active participation in the decision making process while Cryder Point is undergoing major renovations. Please list any interests, talent, education or experience you possess that you feel would serve as an asset to the Cryder Point Owners’ Corp. Board of Directors. I feel that my engineering training, my business experience coupled with knowledge acquired during many years working in financial industry, my working ethics, enthusiasm and very persistent personality allowed me to contribute already and hopefully will continue to benefit CPOC Board of Directors for the next 2 years. What changes would you like to see made at Cryder Point, and why? Despite the fact that for the last 4 years we lived through enormously big development at our site, thanks to Cryder Point staff, our infrastructure and grounds were maintained adequately. But there is always room for improvement. After the Seawall restoration and terrace project completed we should concentrate on further improving our regular maintenance, planning and implementing preventive infrastructure maintenance procedures. Yes Please explain why you are seeking election to the Board of Directors. I have thoroughly enjoyed serving on the Board for 2 full terms. I would like to run for re-election in order to see the major projects we have undertaken come to a successful completion. Also, as these projects are completed, a new agenda, with projects of a smaller scale but important none the less needs to be addressed to keep our community thriving. The most valuable experience i possess, in my opinion, is the experience i have gained serving on the Board of Directors over the past 4 years. What changes would you like to see made at Cryder Point, and why? As our major construction projects come to an end, I would like to work with our newly appointed landscaper, and return our grounds to their natural beauty.
