Just when I thought I wouldn’t have anything interesting to talk about this month, we were “invaded” by a TV crew last week to shoot scenes for a new CBS series, BrainDead (I know, I would have preferred a more elegant title too, but they didn’t ask me.). So much for quiet Cryder Point! Read about the shoot and some of the behind-thescenes activities that went into making this happen. Fun stuff! Onto more important issues…please reserve the date: Thursday, June 23, for the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting. We have held the meeting at the Bay Terrace Jewish Center for several years, but when we called to make the reservation a couple of weeks ago, they told us that they are not renting out the space at all this summer and instead will be using it exclusively for their own events. We considered using the Community Room but quickly decided against it since it’s just too small for this meeting, so we’re looking into other venues that are both close by and large enough to handle the gathering. Updates will follow. On a related note, resume applications for the Board of Directors have gone out to all shareholders. The submission deadline is May 20. Finally, to assure everyone, the pool will open on time: Saturday, May 28, and the pool packages/applications have gone out. Please be aware that there will be an increase in pool fees this year--fyi, this is the fi rst increase since 2010, and with expenses going up each year, an increase was necessary. There are also changes in guest pass fees as well as how they will be processed and charged. In addition, there are some amendments and additions to the pool rules. Everyone who joins the pool is required to acknowledge and sign the pool rules; please read them carefully, as every member will need to abide by them for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. Long story short, please read the new package, and if you have any questions, please contact Stacey in the Management Offi ce. We’re all looking forward to a full pool season this year and with water views more beautiful than ever.
