We can tell spring is here and summer isn’t far away from the
variety of photos submitted this month.
As the saying goes, if you don’t like the weather in New York,
wait a minute. Or should I say, about a week…Marsha Gellert wins
Photo(s) of the Month credit for her virtually identical pictures of
the bridge, each taken in the morning about 10 days apart. Very
clever!
There were some other unique perspectives captured this
month. Anthony DiPrato submitted his photo of an unusually low
tide that had people talking, while Michael Goode’s picture gives
the illusion of the Throgs Neck Bridge floating in air through the
fog. Marielle Annechino and Joe Hollander were also in a misty
mood overlooking the river.
Pat Lebowitz caught some of our feathered friends impatiently
waiting for pool season to start, and Penny Friedman provided us
with a beautiful evening picture of the Whitestone Bridge.
Thanks to everyone for their submissions, and keep your cameras
handy!
A reminder about the contest rules:
The photographer must be a resident of Cryder Point,
and all photos must of the property or of a view from
the property. They also must be current, that is, taken
no more than a couple of months before you submit
them.
Any description of where you were on the property,
the day of week or time of day…any details that you can
provide which bring your neighbors into the moment of
the photo…are eagerly welcomed.
Submit your pictures to jdavis@qns.com and yours
might be selected to be featured in the paper. Please be
sure to put “Cryder Point Photo” in the subject line of
your email and include the full name of the photographer
and an approximate date of the picture.
