bent New York Gov. Kathy Hochul in
next June’s Democratic Primary.
“The oath we will take on Jan. 1 is a
promise — a promise to work in partnership
and in accordance with our
mandates to secure a better future for
New Yorkers,” Lander said.
“I look forward to making that public
promise alongside Eric Adams and
Jumaane Williams, and to working
every day to build a more just and
resilient city,” he added.
Kings Theatre, formerly Loew’s
Kings Theatre, is a live performance
venue opened by Loew’s Theatres as
a movie palace in 1929 and closed
in 1977. The theater sat empty for
decades until a complete renovation
began in 2010.
It reopened in 2015 after an authentic
restoration of the original 1929
design and new state-of-the-art building
systems. The theater has a seating
capacity of 3,000 people.
Williams disclosed Friday, Dec. 17
night that he has tested positive for
the COVID-19 virus.
Williams said he was “grateful” that
New York City has taken many protective
measures, urging New York
State to “replicate and expand on it by
directly sending tests to households.”
In addition to strengthening mask
protocols, the public advocate urged
New York State to adopt the city’s
policy of vaccine screenings for indoor
venues, “which has been extremely
successful and should already have
been expanded by this point.
“I know that this moment is distressing,
but we are not in March of 2020;
we have the knowledge and the tools to
protect ourselves and our communities
that we didn’t back then,” Williams
said. “We just need to learn the lessons
of the failures at that time, and prevent
them from recurring now.”
they hadn’t the opportunity to do so in
almost two years due to the pandemic.
Some were willing to pay hundreds
of dollars in fees just to carry gifts. The
look on the faces of the immigrants was
priceless, as they were told they were 10
or 20 pounds overweight. Determined
to take everything packed, they were
advised to pull to a corner to distribute
the weight between their luggage.
The lines wound their way for miles.
Despite this, nationals arrived earlier to
check-in, ahead of time of the timeframe
advised by the airline. One traveler was
heard screaming to the top of her lungs
as someone tried to cut her off in the
line. All for a Christmas back home.
Phillipa Morrish, a recent re-migrant,
said Christmas celebrations in Guyana
went on without her for decades. I would
hear my friend say that there is no
Christmas like a Guyanese Christmas.”
“I agree without fully comprehending
the meaning of that sentiment. This
Christmas, I fully got it. For example, I
went to a store in my community, and
bought four extension cords.
She said, “with a bright smile the
cashier leaned over the counter and
said, you got plenty fairy lights. I smiled
and replies. Yes, plenty.”
I stepped into another store and
bought three curtain rods. The triple
length rods caused a homeless man to
exclaim “Gal, you got big Christmas.”
Again, I smile at this unexpected greeting
and replied, “Yes, big Christmas.”
Where decorated buildings and food
is concerned, my North American
Christmas celebrations compare favorable,
but in the areas of human warmth
and friendly interaction, there is indeed
“no Christmas like a Guyanese Christmas,”
mused Morrish.
Guyanese-American Kay Ramdat, a
travel agent who lives in Queens, says she
looks forward to traveling to Guyana to
carry-out her charitable work. She gives
out food hampers, and clothing to the
less fortunate in her village of Parika.
But what is most enjoyable, she said,
is indulging in delicious black fruit
cake, adding that she and her family
would sit around the table on Christmas
morning to eat pepper pot and
fresh homemade bread.
Boxing Day, the holiday one day after
Christmas celebrated by the British
and West Indians, is when families visit
each other, and sit around the table to
talk about growing up and enjoying the
festive season.
For Courtney Noel, who has lived
in the U.S. for over 40 years, there are
great memories of celebrating Christmas
in Thome’s Drive.
“Getting my much-coveted GI Joe
doll which yelled ‘man the machine
guns’ when you puled the ring, memorable,”
Noel said, adding with a nostalgia
in his voice, “I try to celebrate
Christmas in Guyana every year.”

“When I discovered ISOLATED STRETCH THERAPY everything changed...”
“Chiropractic adjustments were “scary” and “painful” so
I trusted my doctor and took pills and epidurals out
of desperation because living with chronic sciatica drained
the life out me.” BUT when I discovered ISOLATED STRETCH
THERAPY everything changed...
August 13 1970, Bruce Lee, a famous actor and legendary
Kung Fu hero, was told by his doctors he was never going
to be able to kick again after sustaining a crush injury to
his lumbarsacral discs, nearly breaking his back. Lee’s
from him leaving him with a devastating life sentence of
chronic sciatica...
So What! What does this have to do with
your sciatica or herniated disc pain?
Absolutely nothing and totally everything... You probably
have sciatica and you can understand the suffering and pain
it can cause. Like you, even Bruce Lee was told that there
was nothing to be done for his sciatica but Bruce Lee did
not quit martial arts for the rest of his life!
Despite the doctor’s prognosis that Lee’s S4 nerve root
and lumbar disc would never heal and that Lee would be
and strength in his leg in just 6 months! Bruce even regained
his ability to perform his signature cat-like spring loaded
roundhouse kicks with full power...
Want to know Lee’s secret and how it can
help you heal your sciatica?
Luckily, a few smart Athletic Trainers and Physiotherapists,
have deconstructed Lee’s stretching system to pain-free
flexibility and incredible power and reapplied these
principles to helping anyone at any age!

gymnast without expensive traction devices, oily expensive

A skeptical Doctor in Brooklyn explains his experience with
ISOLATED “ACTIVE” STRETCHING...”It’s like what happens
if you were under anesthesia, we could put your legs behind
your head and you would feel no stretching pain or stiffness,
because the spinal cord and brain has no inpuLthe isolation

I call this unique system: ISOLATED
STRETCH THERAPY...
This is a breakthrough stretching method that can help even
the toughest sciatic pain cases no matter what they have
tried already-guaranteed!
“LET ME JUST REST” – you are 100% correct! Resting helps
relieve the pain when you lay down or sit in a comfortable
position. Maybe it feels good now, but it’s doing you more
harm than good. Actually resting will make your hip muscles
lazier and weaker. Over time your sciatic nerve will begin to
lock your back even more...
WAIT! I agree with you! You tried traditional passive
stretching already and it may have failed and maybe even
made you worse off and really, It’s not your fault!
Isolated stretch therapy is nothing like
traditional tug and pull static stretching!
Let me explain how this works: )

works when you have sciatic pain, but with “Isolated Stretch
Therapy” the Physiotherapist uses precision strapping with
an exact directional stretch to unwind the stuck nerve while
One sciatica client said, “It’s like a high-performance tuneup
without going for an hour long yoga session... and it
lasted for 3 days!”
Exactly! We trick your brain to turn off the pain signal to the
active joint range of motion you forgot how to use, while
waking up your lazy leg and back muscles...
MASSAGE, ADJUSTMENTS, ACUPUNCTURE,
TRACTION, PASSIVE STRETCHING,
LASERS and EVEN INJECTIONS GIVE ONLY
TEMPORARY RELIEF FOR ONE REASON...
While I do agree that they feel really great and help relieve
your pain, they NEVER address the lazy muscles surrounding
the nerve. Again.Jike a tightly pulled seatbelt, the muscle
any of the above procedures. The sciatic nerve tissue gets
squeezed forcing your back or leg into constant stiffness,

having pain, numbness or tingling in ONE LEG and the pain
does not pass the knee and If nothing has helped yet, ask
yourself these key questions, does the PAIN become worse
with: 1. Rolling in bed? 2. Getting up from a low chair or

If you answered yes, try this. Sit slouched forward
