a clean sweep of their three-match
One-Day International series against
Pakistan Women with a six-wicket
victory at the Pakistan National Stadium
in Karachi recently.
Captain Stafanie Taylor hit her
seventh One-Day International century
and surpassed 5,000 runs in
the format.
Chasing a target pf 226, West
Indies recovered from a precarious
position of 15 for three in the fifth
over to get over the line with six
overs remaining.
Player of the Match Taylor stroked
an unbeaten 102 off 117 balls with 12
fours to notch her second hundred of
the year, following her unbeaten 105
also against Pakistan Women five
months ago in the Caribbean.

says the region needs another Twenty20
tournament in order to properly develop
the next generation of players.
He urged young West Indies players
to think bigger than the Caribbean Premier
League (CPL).
Speaking in the wake of the Caribbean
side’s failed campaign at the recent
Twenty20 World Cup in Abu Dhabi, Pollard
stressed the value of raising performance
standards and said playing in
other global T20 tournaments allowed
players to further enhance their skills.
Pointing to the CPL — the Caribbean’s
premier domestic T20 franchise
tournament — Pollard said the showpiece
was “recycling” the same players
