Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser powered
her way to her historic fourth
l00 meters gold medal at the athletics
World Championship in Doha,
Qatar on Saturday night.
She became the first person to
win four gold medals over the distance.
Fraser-Pryce, who returned to the
track only last year after giving birth
to a son, stormed across the line in
a season-best time of 10.71 seconds
followed by Britain’s Dina Asher-
Smith in 10.83.
Ivory Coast’s Marie-Jose TaLou,
world silver medalist at l00m and
200m in London two years ago,
completed the podium, grabbing
bronze.
The victory cemented Fraser-
Pryce’s status as one of the all-time

CWI’s new
selection policy

Cricket West Indies (CWI) has created
a new selection system to feature teamspecific
panels, selection analysts and a
new policy aimed at creating transparency
and efficiency in the process.
In a departure from the current system,
the men, women and junior squads
will now benefit from separate selection
panels headed by an executive selector,
and comprising another selector and
the head coach.

League (CPL) half century, while
young spinner Antigua-born spinner
Hayden Walsh Jr bagged a career-best
5/19, including three scalps in one over
to steer Barbados Tridents to victory
over champions Trinbago Knight Riders
at the Kensington Oval Barbados last
Thursday night.
Duminy hit a blistering 20-ball 65,
