The Manhattan EOC has
a rich history of helping New
Yorkers learn English, earn
their High School Equivalency
(HSE) diploma, providing a
pathway to college and serving
as a leader in the workforce
community by providing
in-demand career trainings
that lead to national or state
recognized certifications.
“Students are our priority
and are at the forefront of our
daily operations - the very reason
we are in the educational
field,” said Anthony Watson,
Manhattan EOC Executive Director.
As healthcare occupations
continue to dominate the market,
the Manhattan EOC is on
trend by offering stackable
credentialed Allied Health
programs, which includes
Certified EKG Training, a
program where students prepare
for careers as EKG Technicians
(or Cardiac Monitor
Technicians) to work in medical
facilities, such as hospitals
or clinics. Students prepare
for the National Healthcareer
Association® Certified EKG
Technician (CET) exam and
gain hands-on experience to
prepare them for employment.
In addition, last year the
Manhattan EOC rolled out
a Certified Medical Administrative
Assistant (CMAA)
program where students will
prepare for employment in a
variety of clerical support positions
within the healthcare
field. The curriculum includes
HIPAA training. The CMAA
program is an integral addition
to the school’s Allied
Health programs which includes
Certified Phlebotomy
Training, Certified Electronic
Health Records, Certified
Nursing Assistant and Certified
EKG Technician Training.
The Manhattan EOC has
been working diligently, for

York City residents. Whether
it’s earning your High School
Equivalency diploma, preparing
