Cardinal Spellman honors academic achievement
Cardinal Spellman High School has
recognized the members of the Class
of 2022 who received the Diamond “S”
Award. They join the nearly 1,100 other
Spellman students who have received the
Diamond “S” since its inception in 1989.
The Diamond “S” is awarded to those students
who have maintained a First Honors
average for each of their fi rst three
years at Spellman, passed all Regents
exams, and have participated in the Advanced
Placement and Honors Program.
The names of all Diamond “S” students
are engraved on a plaque near the fi rst

In separate ceremonies, the highest
ranked students in each class were also
recognized for their outstanding scholastic
achievements during the 2020-2021
academic year. The top three students of
the Class of 2022 were Anastasia Karampimperis,
Chaise Artemus and Annora
Titus-Glover; the Class of 2023: Danielle
Suzanne Mataquel, Silfrido Molina and
Nicholas Singh; and the Class of 2024:
Ellie Rodriguez, Ovokeroye Akarumeh
and Loriann Gayle.
