Senator Luis Sepulveda visited the Hunts Point Library Community Fair to help promote
literacy and share constituent resources.
PAL SUMMER DAY CAMP’S PENNANT QUEST
Approximately 350 Police Athletic League Summer Day Camp children from all fi ve boroughs
competed in the PAL’s annual Pennant Quest. The city-wide PAL Pennant Quest brought to life
this year’s theme of ‘Traveling Through Time’ and featured a banner and chant contest, tug of
war, dizzy relay, obstacle course, team knowledge andd team spirit and sportsmanship.

SUMMERSTAGE SHOW HELD AT SOUNDVIEW PARK
Grand Wizzard Theodore, father of the scratch; DJ Perly, the fi rst woman to win the USA DMC
DJ Chamption title and the DJ Collective Uptown Vinyl Supreme; the Boogie Down All-Stars;
The B.O.O.M. (Bronx Organic Orchestra Melinated) and soulful hip-hop group Boom Bits performed
at SummerStage on Thursday, July 25 at Soundview Park.
Concert goers performed some gravity defying breakdance moves during the show.
