Trip Abroad
One local youth from the
borough got to take part in
all-expense paid trip to Italy
and a scholarship after she
and her teammate came in
first place in a cooking competition
at their public high
school Food and Finance
High School.
Citaly Hernandez, who
comes from the Bronx, and
her teammate Kayla Jenkins,
took part in the Colavita
Culinary Challenge
in January, winning the
grand prize for their Palline
di Polenta Fritte Bolognese
(Polenta Balls with Bolognese).
As the Grand Prize winners
of the Colavita Culinary
Challenge, the two
were entitled to an all-expense
paid trip to Italy and a
$2500 scholarship courtesy
of Colavita, an Italian foods
company with its US head-
