JAYWALKER STRUCK BY VEHICLE
Police from the 43rd Precinct responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a
Mazda 625 at Zerega and Westchester avenues on Thursday, July 24 at 10:45 a.m.
Upon arrival, police observed the victim with a broken leg and head injuries. Law
enforcement learned that the pedestrian had ran into the street against the traffi c
signal and was struck by the vehicle which remained at the scene. No arrests or
summonses were issued to the driver. The victim was taken to a local hospital for

40th Precinct
Wednesday, July 3 at 6:45 p.m. -- The
NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining
the whereabouts of the two unidentified
males sought in connection with a burglary.
Police received a report that inside a multiunit
residential building in the vicinity of East
138th Street and Brook Avenue, an unidentified
man gained entry to an apartment through a window.
Once inside, he opened the apartment’s
door, letting in a second individual. Both mean
fled the apartment a short time later. No property
was taken from the apartment.
The first individual who went through the
window is described as wearing a black hooded
sweatshirt, blue jeans, sneakers and a long neck
chain.
The second individual is seen wearing a blue
cap, blue T-shirt, and white shorts (see photo).
Tuesday, July 16 at 5:20 p.m. -- The NYPD
is asking the public’s assistance in identifying
two individuals in connection with a robbery that
occurred within the 40th Precinct and Transit
District 12.
Cops got a report that inside of the Freeman
Avenue IRT #2 subway station, two individuals
approached a 44-year-old man and engaged
him in a conversation briefly before one of them
placed his hands inside the victim’s pants’ pocket
and tried to remove his property.
The victim resisted and entered a southbound
“2” train. The individuals followed the victim onto
the train where they punched him in the face and
removed his credit card, among other items. The
individuals exited the train at the Prospect Avenue
station and fled down to the street area. They
were last seen walking northbound on Prospect
Avenue. The victim was treated at the scene by
EMS for minor injuries.
The first individual is described as a black
man 45-years-old to 55-years-old and bald. He
was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue shorts,
white socks and dark colored slip-on sandals.
The second individual is described as a black
man who is 20-year-old to 30-years-old. He was
last seen wearing a purple du-rag, a white shirt,
blue shorts and gray sneakers.
44th Precinct
Tuesday, July 16 at 5:20 p.m. -- The NYPD
is asking the public’s assistance in identifying
males wanted for questioning in connection to a
robbery that occurred in the precinct.
Police received a report that a 49-year-old
man was walking near 151 E. 151st Street when
three unidentified males approached and stopped
him at this location. The men displayed a firearm
and demanded property. The victim complied and
the males fled with the victim’s cell phone and
wallet. The victim was not injured as a result of
this incident.
Friday, July 19 at 1:20 a.m. -- The NYPD
is a investigating a man who was dead on arrival
at a local hospital. Police responded to a 911
call for a male assaulted in front of 5 E. Mount
Eden Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a
57-year-old male with severe head trauma. EMS
responded and transported the victim to Bronx
Lebanon Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The medical examiner will determine the
cause of death and the investigation is ongoing
as of press time.
45th Precinct
Sunday, July 28 at 9:49 p.m. - The NYPD is
asking for the public’s assistance in connection
to an assault that was a non-fatal shooting.
It was reported to police that in front of 2708
E. Tremont Avenue that an unidentified individual
approached a 34-year-old man from behind and
shot him in the back of the head. He then fled
the location on foot, northbound on East Tremont
Avenue. EMS responded to the scene and transported
the victim Jacobi Hospital, where he is
listed in critical condition.
The individual is described as an adult male
Hispanic, with a goatee and an athletic build. He
was last seen wearing a gray baseball hat, black
Adidas t-shirt with white stripes, black shorts
and black sneakers.
47th Precinct
Monday, July 15 at 4:30 p.m. -- The NYPD
is asking the public’s assistance in identifying
the two individuals (see photo) in regard to a robbery.
Police received a report that two unknown individuals
entered a livery cab, produced a black
gun, and demanded to be taken to 4065 Carpenter
Avenue. Once at the location, the individuals
exited the vehicle and instructed the operator
to exit the vehicle before they fled south bound
on Carpenter Avenue, then west bound on East
228th Street towards Bronx Boulevard. There
was no property taken or reported injury.
The fi rst individual is a adult Hispanic man
with a medium complexion and thin build with
short dark hair. He was last seen wearing blue
track jacket with white stripes, gray sweatpants
and white sneakers.
The second individual is a adult Hispanic man
with a black hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants,
a black backpack and black sneakers.
52nd Precinct
Sunday, July 7 -- The NYPD is asking the
public’s assistance in identifying individuals depicted
in connection with a grand larceny pattern
within the 52nd Precinct. Between Saturday,
June 8 and Sunday, July 7 a group of males and
females who are teenagers snatched cell phones
from people walking in the street. They are between
15- and 18-years-old. One of the incidents
occurred on June 8 in front of 3222 Bainbridge
Avenue.
Police are asking the public’s assistance in identifying these two individuals in connection
with a robbery that occurred inside of a subway station at Freeman Avenue on Tuesday, July
