NYPL’S 125TH ANNIVERSARY
On Tuesday, January 14, Kindergarten and fi rst grade students from Santa Maria School visited
a local New York Public Library in the Bronx to celebrate the New York Public Library’s
125th anniversary. Students in attendance received their fi rst library card, a limited edition
’The Snowy Day’ card.

LEHMAN COLLEGE WINS
$100,000 GRANT
On Wednesday, January 8, the Verizon Foundation announced Lehman College as the winner
of the ‘Verizon Community Grant’. Lehman was awarded a total of $100,000 to launch a
technology mentorship program for 50 small business owners in the borough.
