40th Precinct
Monday, November 4 at 1:40 p.m. - Police responded
to an 911 call of two males that had been
shot at the intersection of East 157th Street and Elton
Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 31-yearold
male victim, identified as Noel Irazarry, unconscious
and unresponsive with gunshot wounds to
the head and leg. He was transported to NYC Health
& Hospitals/Lincoln where he was pronounced deceased.
A 32-year-old male with a gunshot wound to
the right leg was also transported to Lincoln Hospital
in stable condition. There are no arrests and the investigation
is ongoing.
41st Precinct
Wednesday, September 25 at 2:40 p.m. - Two
unidentified males briefly engaged a 67-year-old male
employee in conversation inside of J&A Hardware,
980 Longwood Avenue, before they started knocking
items off the shelves. A physical struggle with
one of the males ensued, at which time the second
male kicked the employee in the chest. The employee
fell, knocked his head on the pavement and lost
consciousness. The males fled the scene eastbound
on Longwood Avenue. The employee suffered a fractured
orbital socket and abrasions to the back of the
head. EMS transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/
Lincoln in serious but stable condition.
Wednesday, November 6 at 7:03 p.m. - 29-yearold
NYPD police officer Raymond Pena was arrested
and charged with second degree aggravated harassment.
43rd Precinct
Saturday, October 12 at 6:30 a.m. - An individual
gained entry into a residence in the vicinity of White
Plains Road and Wood Avenue through an unsecured
rear window. Once inside, the suspect walked into the
42-year-old female victim’s bedroom and shined a
flashlight in her face. When the victim woke up, she
screamed at the sight of the individual. The suspect
ran out of the house and fled in an unknown direction.
He is described as dark-skinned and was last seen
wearing a black winter cap, a blue hooded sweater
and blue jeans.
Sunday, October 27 at 6:10 a.m. - A 68-yearold
male victim was walking home when he was approached
by two unidentified males in front of 1754
E. 172nd Street. One of the males displayed a firearm
and demanded money. The male rummaged through
the victim’s pockets and the males fled the location
southbound on Commonwealth Avenue with the victim’s
$40 and his cell phone. There were no injuries
reported as a result of this incident.
Sunday, September 22 at 3:17 p.m. - It was
reported to police that a 17-year-old female was approaching
the bus stop at 1840 Westchester Avenue
when an unidentified male grabbed her buttocks. The
male fled eastbound on Westchester Avenue.
44th Precinct
Saturday, October 26 at 5:25 a.m. - A 62-yearold
male was exiting his vehicle near the intersection
of Plimpton Avenue and East 170th Street when an
unidentified male with a firearm approached him and
demanded money. The victim complied and the male
fled with $12. There were no injuries reported as a
result of this incident.
47th Precinct
Thursday, October 10 at 3:10 p.m. - Three unidentified
males approached two teenage male victims
from behind on a sidewalk in the vicinity of Furman
and Nereid avenues. One of the males displayed
a knife and demanded cell phones from the two victims.
The victims complied and the males fled northbound
on Furman Avenue with the cell phones. There
were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.
48th Precinct
Tuesday, November 5 - 22-year old Joshua
Marrero was arrested and charged with second degree
assault in response to an incident that occurred
on Friday, November 1 inside of a residential building
in the vicinity of Southern Boulevard and East 187th
Street, when Marrero allegedly punched and kicked
a 67-year-old victim repeatedly inside a building elevator.
52nd Precinct
Thursday, October 17 at 4:30 p.m. - A 13-yearold
male individual walking in the vicinity of Creston
Avenue and East 196th Street was approached by
an unknown female who asked to hold the victim’s
cell phone. The victim gave the female his cell phone
but when he asked for it to be returned, she began to
punch the victim in the face and head multiple times,
causing pain and bruising. The individual fled on foot
to parts unknown. EMS responded to the scene and
transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable
condition. The victim’s cell phone had an estimated
value of $600.
Monday, October 21 at 5:40 p.m. - A 25-yearold
male got into a verbal dispute with an unknown
male, which escalated into a physical confrontation
in front of 285 E. 205th Street. The unknown individual
then displayed an unknown sharp instrument
and stabbed the victim in the abdomen, causing a laceration
and bleeding. The suspect then fled on foot
northbound to Bainbridge Avenue. EMS responded
and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in
serious but stable condition.
Saturday, October 26 at 10:15 p.m. - An unidentified
male entered Jereme Variety Store, located
at 3404 Jerome Avenue, and demanded free items.
The 20-year-old store employee denied his request at
which time the male produced a knife and demanded
money. The suspect proceeded behind the counter,
removed $150 and fled the location. The employee
was not injured as a result of this incident.
