
 
        
         
		TNCAP DISCUSSES OPIOID CRISIS 
 The Throggs Neck Community Action Partnership held  its fi rst meeting  of  the  season  at  
 2789  Schurz  Avenue  on Wednesday,  September  11.  The meeting  was  held  to  discuss  and  
 spread awareness on Opioid addiction and what can be done to combat the issue. Representatives  
 from Assemblyman Michael Benedetto, Counciman Mark Gjonaj, Senator Alessandra  
 Biaggi and Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez were in attendance.

 ST. JOSEPH’S SCHOOL FRIENDS & FAMILY BBQ 
 St. Joseph’s School for the Deaf hosted a Friends & Family BBQ on Saturday, September 21.

 ST. HELENA CROSS VENERATION 
 Parishioners of St. Helena Catholic Church in the Bronx had the opportunity to venerate a  
 piece of the True Cross on which Jesus died following each Mass on the parish’s patronal  
 feast The Exaltation of the Cross.  The parish held a special celebration in the gymnasium  
 on Sunday, Sept. 15,
