PEOPLE INJURED IN BELMONT COLLISSION
Several people are recovering after an overturned vehicle struck pedestrians in
Belmont. According to police, 48th Precinct police offi cers responded to a report of
a collision at Southern Boulevard and Grote Street on Friday, June 21 at 4:25 p.m. A
preliminary investigation revealed that a 20-year-old female was operating a Honda
CRV heading southbound on Southern Boulevard when it mounted a curb and struck
six pedestrians who were on the sidewalk before overturning and striking the staircase
railing of a church. The pedestrians, which included a 1-year-old male baby, who
all suffered non-life threatening injuries were transported by EMS to local hospitals.
The driver of the vehicle and her two passengers, including an 11-year-old male, were
also transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. No arrest were

41st Precinct
Saturday, June 8 at 2 a.m. -- The NYPD is asking
the public’s assistance identifying four individuals
in connection to a robbery.
Police received a report of a 21-year-old male
victim who was walking in front of 940 Southern
Boulevard when a group of unknown individuals approached
him from behind. These individuals approached
him, pushed him to the ground and began
punching and kicking him on his body. The individuals
took two cell phones before fleeing on Southern
Boulevard towards East 163rd Street. The victim
sustained bruising and swelling to his face. He refused
medical attention.
One of the individuals is a male Hispanic
16-years-old to 18-years-old with a light complexion
and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black tshirt
with red Nike logo on the front and the words
‘Just Do It’, black sweatpants, red sneakers and a
red bandana.
Another of the individuals is male Black who is
16-year-old to 18-years-old with a dark complexion
and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a gray
hooded jacket, a white t-shirt, red sweatshirt and
black sneakers.
A third individual is a male Black who is
16-years-old to 18-years-old with a dark complexion
and a thin build. He was last seen wearing blue
jeans, white sneakers with a white and blue polo
shirt (see photo).
A fourth individual is a male Black who is
16-years-old to 18-years-old with a thin build. He
was last seen riding a bicycle and wearing a white
hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Sunday, June 9 at 9:50 a.m. -- The NYPD is
asking the public’s assistance identifying an individual
wanted in connection with a grand larceny.
Police received a report of an individual who took
a backpack with $1,000 inside of The Point Community
Center at 940 Garrison Avenue. A 53-year-old
male victim placed his backpack containing cash on
a chair. The victim, a member of the community center’s
staff went into the office at which time an unknown
individual entered the location and removed
the unattended backpack before fleeing the location
in an unknown direction.
The individual is described as a male White,
25-years-old to 30-years-old, with a thin build and a
full beard. He last seen wearing a black hooded pullover,
a black baseball cap, grey sweatpants, a black
backpack and black sneakers (see photo).
43rd Precinct
Sunday, June 16 at 8:13 p.m. -- The NYPD is
asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an
individual in a reckless endangerment incident.
An individual who was depicted on surveillance
video shot several bullets from a gun in front of 1581
Watson Avenue. The individual then entered a gray
Mercedes SUV through its rear driver’s side door.
The vehicle fled the scene southbound on Manor Avenue.
There were no injuries reported as a result of
the shooting. The individual is described as a male
who wore dark colored clothing. There’s no description
for the operator of the vehicle.
45th Precinct
Thursday, June 6 at 2:20 p.m. -- Police are
seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the following
male wanted for questioning in connection to
an assault
Cops got a report of an assault on a 28-year-old
female victim. The victim was in front 2597 Lafayette
Avenue when an unidentified male asked her for
directions. The victim pointed in the direction of the
location, at which point the male slashed her on the
left side of her face with a cutting instrument. The
male fled in unknown direction. EMS responded and
transported the victim to an area hospital where she
received multiple stitches.
The person wanted for questioning is described
as a male Black, 30-years-old to 40-years-old, approximately
six feet tall.
He was last seen wearing a button up short
sleeve shirt with a white and blue checkered pattern,
black shorts, white knee high socks and a
baseball cap.
46th Precinct
Friday, June 21 at 5:37 a.m. -- Police are asking
the public’s help in identifying three individuals
concerning an assault.
Inside of 2037 Grand Concourse, the three individuals
assaulted the 22-year-old male victim following
a dispute. During the altercation, the individuals
punched the victim in the face and body. In addition,
one of the men slashed the victim once in the neck
with an unknown sharp object. All three individuals
fled the scene on foot southbound on Grand Concourse.
The victim was transported to St. Barnabas
Hospital in stable condition.
The three individuals are male Hispanics between
25-years-old and 35-years-old. One was 5’9”
to 5’10” tall and last seen wearing a blue hooded
sweater and light blue jeans. Another was 5’6” and
last seen wearing a black baseball cap and a black
shirt. The third individual is 6’0” tall and was last
seen wearing a white shirt.
49th Precinct
Thursday, June 6 at 5 p.m. -- The NYPD is
asking for the public’s assistance in locating and
identifying an unidentified man wanted in connection
for a grand larceny.
Police received a report that a 70-year-old
man was entering his residence when he was approached
from behind by the person sought. The
individual forcibly removed two necklaces from the
victim and fled on foot westbound on Lydig Avenue.
The two necklaces had an estimated value of $65.
No injuries were reported in this incident.
The individual is described as a male Black,
20-years-old and 30-years-old, with long black
dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a dark colored
shirt, gray pants and red shoes.
Thursday, June 12 at 8 a.m. -- Police are asking
for the public’s assistance identifying a man
wanted for for questioning in connection to an assault
involving a firearm.
A 39-year-old female victim was walking in front
of 2443 Williamsbridge Road when an unidentified
man fired several shots, one of which hit the victim
in the left arm.
EMS responded and transported the victim to
Jacobi Hospital in stable condition. The male fled the
location in unknown direction.
The person wanted for questioning is described
as a male Black who is in his late teens to early twenties.
He was last seen wearing all dark clothing.
