ARMY SPECIALIST SURPRISES WIFE AT IONA
During the 2019 Iona College Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 18
at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, U.S. Army specialist Nicho Jenkins surprised
his wife Ivelisse Jenkins as she received her degree from president Joseph E. Nyre, Ph.D.
Nicho and Ivelisse have not seen each other in nearly six months.

During Nursing Home Week on Tuesday, May 14, Triboro Center staff entertained the residents
with an all out Hawaiian Day. Staff danced to traditional Hawaiian music and karaoke
had everyone singing and laughing.

TREMONT LIBRARY OPENS RECORDING STUDIO
The New York Public Library’s Tremont Branch hosted its offi cial Sound Lab recording studio
opening on Wednesday, May 29 at 1866 Washington Avenue. The Sound Lab is a mini recording
studio that will allow teens to learn the basics of creating music including making beats
and songs.
