There’s a lot to be thankful for in western Queens. Just
take a look at some of the photos our readers shared with
us that represent what they’re grateful for (page 10).
We’re celebrating the openings of two long-awaited
restaurants — Sac’s Place, a beloved Italian eatery that
reopened at a new location (page 14) and Rivercrest,
which had its grand opening on Ditmars (page 20).
Then, there are the staples we hope will stick around
forever, like Zenon Taverna (page 35).
Plus, we’re inspired by the creativity of our neighbors.
One local designed an incredible wedding dress —
completely made from toilet paper (page 32). A local
artist let us take a peek into her beautiful apartment
(page 46). And for kids, there are lots of opportunities
to create and explore at four local businesses (page 38).
