Though families and friends come from far corners the city to satiate personal cravings that run the gamut of every taste imaginable, once a year we are faced with the daunting task of choosing a few favorites. On July 27, those honors were awarded to the Ecuadorian sandwich masters at Chuta Madre, the tres leches mastery of CakeBox NYC and the refreshing blends at Lizzmonade. A fan favorite award went to the exceptional seafood tacos at Afishonado. While we agree on the wow factor of each of our winners, there were too many tasty morsels to ignore. So browse through these images from that decadent weekend, and save some room for a visit to the LIC Flea this month. The awards may be over, but the cooking has only just begun!
