Must Masks!
Federal & TSA mandates
TSA to implement Executive
Order regarding face
masks at airport security
checkpoints and throughout
the transportation network.
Effective from February 2
through May 11, 2021.
JFK , LGA and Newark
airports have issued Port Authority
Security notices.
Airport Workers who are
found to not be wearing a
mask, refuse to wear a mask
after asked are subject to at
BOR and mandatory re-training.
If there is a second offense,
there will be a BOR, a
4 day suspension and possible
revocation of the SIDA badge.
Regarding the civil penalty
fine structure for individuals
who violate the Security
Directive, TSA will
recommend a fine ranging
from $250 for the first offense
up to $1,500 for repeat offenders.
Based on substantial
aggravating or mitigating
factors, TSA may seek a sanction
amount that falls outside
these ranges.
TSA will implement provisions
of President Biden’s order
by requiring travelers to
wear face masks when they
are in airports, TSA airport
screening checkpoints, bus
and rail stations, as well as
while on passenger aircraft,
public transportation, passenger
railroads, and over-theroad
buses operating on scheduled
fixed-routes. TSA’s action
will also support the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC) Emergency Order
requiring that individuals
wear masks on conveyances
and at stations, ports, or similar
transportation hubs.
Passengers without a
mask may be denied entry,
boarding, or continued
transport. Failure to comply
with the mask requirement
can result in civil penalties.
Exemptions include travelers
under the age of 2 years
old, those with a disability
who cannot wear a mask, or
cannot safely wear a mask
because of the disability as
defined by the Americans
with Disabilities Act, and
those for whom a mask would
create a risk to workplace
health, safety, or job duty
as determined by relevant
workplace safety guidelines
or federal regulations. Visit
TSA.gov for more information
about face mask requirements.

Ah, remember good old Mardi Gras days. Unfortunately we will have to wait another year
for the fun of costumes and fetivities usually enjoyed this month in NY communities, the
Caribbean, and South America.
